Our group has three sections meeting in the Scout Group Headquarters;
Beavers Wednesday 6.15pm to 7.15pm
Cubs Monday 6.30pm to 8.00pm
Scouts Monday 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Our group participates in various activities as sections, the whole group, part of the District or as part of the County. This gives opportunities for your children to meet other people and make friends.
Payments are normally only accepted by Standing Order at £7.50 a month – ask a leader or download the form from here.
If you would prefer to pay for each term the cost is £30 payable in advance. As there are three terms the annual cost by either method is £90. This money covers:-
Annual fees to Scouting organisations at District, County and National level. It also pays for insurance and leader training and for the various training aids we use in the Group.
Some money is kept by us to cover running costs such as electric and water bills. We also need to buy badges and equipment for our section meetings.
The largest drain on our resources is the cost of maintaining a 70 year old wooden building. We had to replace the old asbestos roof a couple of years ago and we now need to do something about the wooden exterior. That probably means replacing it all if we can find the money.
Scouting is a charitable organisation so we are entitled to claim gift aid on your donations. We can claim 25p from the tax people for every pound you donate. Please help us by downloading a form and returning it to one of the leaders.
